John L. Craib

John L. Craib earned a BA and an MA in anthropology from California State University Long Beach. He obtained his PhD in anthropology from the University of Sydney.
His fieldwork in the Mariana Islands began in 1978 and continued over the next twenty years. His dissertation focuses on intra-village settlement organization during the Latte Phase and he has worked on the islands of Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan. He is currently based in Queensland, Australia.
