Darlene Moore

Darlene R. Moore attended University of Oregon and University of Guam. She earned both her BA in anthropology and her MA in behavioral science from University of Guam.
Moore is founder and president of Micronesian Archaeological Research Services, Inc. (MARS), a non-profit archaeological consulting firm that has been doing archaeological/anthropological investigations in Micronesia since 1992.
Her specialty is the analysis of the prehistoric pottery from the Mariana Islands. Since completing an attribute analysis of the pottery from Tarague, Guam for her thesis in 1983, she has analyzed pottery collections from numerous archaeological projects on Guam, Rota, Saipan, and Tinian. The results of her studies have been incorporated into numerous technical reports and publications.
