Guam Animals in Need (GAIN)

Guam Animals In Need (GAIN), Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, and to the education of the public concerning matters pertaining to animals and their welfare. The GAIN shelter, located in Yigo, has facilities to house and care for dogs, cats and rabbits, and provides food, shelter and medical care.

Pioneers of entertainment. Frank and Marjorie met at the Texas Centennial in 1936 where he was a famous high diver and she a shy, but gutsy, aerialist. They would watch each other’s act, and finally met when Marjorie’s hair turned green after she and some of the show girls took a dip in Frank’s small diving tank below his 100-foot diving tower.

Guam Symphony Society

Prior to 1966 the Guam Symphonic Wind Ensemble provided Guam with the only live symphonic music performances available. This ensemble was under the direction of David Williams, a music instructor at the then College of Guam.
