Bailey Cushing), Falanruw’s first career, from an early age, was as a circus performer: on the tight wire, trampoline, horseback, trapeze and motorcycle.

Aguon earned her associate’s degree in elementary education in 1958 from the Territorial College of Guam, the forerunner of the University of Guam and then obtained her bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a minor in English from the University of Guam in 1964.

Guampedia Author. Julian Aguon is a hybrid attorney-author-activist whose work centers around international law, specifically human and indigenous rights. He is the author of several collections of political essays focusing on people struggles in Guam and the wider Micronesian region.
Guampedia Author. John Camacho Salas (1948-2018) earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial education from Colorado State College in 1969. He was awarded a master of arts degree in vocational education and a PhD in technical and industrial education from the University of Connecticut in 1974.
Guampedia Author. John L. Craib earned a BA and an MA in anthropology from California State University Long Beach. He obtained his PhD in anthropology from the University of Sydney.
Guampedia Author. James D. Sellmann earned a PhD in Chinese philosophy in 1990 and an MA in philosophy in 1983 from the University of Hawai’i. He also holds an MA in religious studies from the University of Hawai’i, which was awarded in 1981.
