He earned a PhD in Pacific History in 2015 and an MA in Pacific Islands Studies in 2008 from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He also holds a BA in English from the University of Guam, which was awarded in 2003.

Former Guampedia administrative team. Anya M. Perez, Familian Boñu, is from the village of Barrigada and the youngest of two children of Richard and Marie Perez. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa in 2004.
Guampedia Author. Annette Donner and her two young children came to Guam in 1974 for adventure. She taught diving and developed and led dive groups to Chuuk and Palau.
