Alice Taijeron
Board Member
Alice Taijeron, a Guampedia Board member, is the president of the Guam Housing Corporation. She was appointed to this position by the Governor of Guam in January 2019. The housing corporation’s mission is to serve those unable to obtain financing through conventional banking institutions.
Prior to taking the helm at the Guam Housing Corporation, Taijeron was a retirement counselor and the director of Empower Retirement. She has also served as a policy analyst for senators Lou Leon Guerrero and Judith T. Won Pat. Taijeron was also a congressional aide to the former Congressman Robert A. Underwood.
A 1986 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Taijeron earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Guam. She also holds a master of art’s degree in organizational arts from University of Phoenix.
Taijeron was the chairperson of the Guam Election Commission and a member of the Nuestra Señora Delas Agues Finance Council. She is a writer, as well, having contributed to the Haleta series of books created by the Department of CHamoru Affairs.
She is a resident of Mangilao and the proud daughter of the late Elias Leon Guerrero Taijeron and Maria Mafnas Taijeron, the eldest of six children.
