Tortillas

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup salad oil
  • ¾ cup milk

Mix baking powder with flour. Add sugar, salt, salad oil, and mix. Add milk and mix together.

Divide dough into 3 equal parts and roll on a floured surface. Cook on a grill at medium heat, pricking holes on the dough. Turn twice on each side, and cook for 8 minutes.

To keep soft, wrap in aluminum foil. When cooked longer, it will be crispy and can be used to dip. Otherwise, slice each titiyas into 8 parts to be eaten like bread.

Serves 8 to 10 people.
